Just sharing my experience with the factory-fitted Bridgestone tyres. I had initially planned to keep these tyres for 3 years at least, but could not managed to do so.
I know and understand that Bridgestone is a well-reputed brand with quality offerings, but I don't think that Pak Suzuki did any fruitful research before launching the new Swift with these tyres (as expected from these mean assemblers). We have pretty bad road conditions, you cannot spend the whole day in Gulberg / Cantt / DHA. The Ecopias are not suited for our roads, unless you live in DHA / Gulberg / other areas where the road conditions are somewhat better.
The Ecopias even feedback the small stones that used to get stuck in the tyres, and it used to get really annoying sometimes. Swift already has a stiffer suspension for improved handling, and having such tyres on top does not make sense to me. For reference, I was coming from a Wagon R that had Chinese tyres installed, and believe me I still felt that these tyres were hard compared to my older car. So I finally decided to replace them.
I changed my Swift's tyres with the new Nexen N'Fera SU4 205/55/R16, and the ride quality has improved significantly. Near zero road noise on lower speeds, and minor road noise on speeds nearing / above 100 km/h. The car is now absorbing the smaller bumps quite well, previously it used to give feedback either via steering or via minor dashboard creeks. As for the difference in fuel economy, I am yet to calculate it manually, but I am not expecting huge drop or anything because I drive cautiously on the roads with occasional heavy foot driving.
