Salam, I am back because this headache of a car has another issue. The car has started overheating after 30-50km of driving exactly from when engine is driven from cold. I have to turn AC off, put heat on full blast and maintain rpm<2000 or idle car for it to cool down. The car will also overheat AFTER slowing down if driven on motorway of speed 100+. This has happened 6 times already. I do the cooling practice above whenever needle goes above center of temp gauge.
Also to note have not encountered overheating issue when driven in city, only on trip that involve motorway or long highway travel
Measures i've taken:
The radiator is filled to top, fans are direct and working, both radiator pipes are hot so water is circulating. I have bled the cooling system too. But still overheating.
So I think its headgasket issue. My reasons to say are
1)There are bubbles in radiator (very rarely).
2) when radiator cap is open and pressed on gas the car shoots coolant out (even when cold)
3) Radiator is reducing 100-250ml coolant when checked after overheating
4) being obvious that car is overheating
If so, what is cost of headgasket and labour? I am from Islamabad.
Could it be something else? My car is 2004 civic exi prosmatec
