A nice little upgrade for a friend's 22 altis grande. Nothing fancy and plan was to go with a full Nakamichi setup. So here it is. Didn't take too many pics but will try to take more when he's back in town
Source: Factory Android Panel but plan is for an upgrade soon.
Front Stage: Nakamichi NSA-CS1721 2 way components
Rear Stage: Nakamichi NSE6958 6x9 3 way coaxials
Amplification: Nakamichi NKTA-60.4 4 channel amplifier
Interconnects: Stinger 4000 series rca's
Deadening: 4 Sheets of Butyl Sound Deadener
Wiring: 6 Awg Ofc wiring with 100A fuse, tubing, thimbles and heatshrinks
Regarding the sound deadening, 1 sheet was used on each of the feont doors. The surrounding area on the midbass driver was covered as well as the outer sheet behind the driver. Additional 3M Fast Rings were used aswell. So not the full bake potato deadening but enough on a budget where the midbass has improved drastically
1 sheet was used on the rear parcel shelf where the 6x9s are mounted and the final 1 sheet was used in the trunk. Despite not having a sub in the trunk, the 6x9s ended up causing some rattling which had to be rectified
Toyota specific speaker brackets were used on the front doors ( not those universal ones being sold in every shop where you end up with gaps on the side ) and pioneers specific 6x9 brackets for the rear. This meant no drilling for new holes was needed. Old rivets were drilled out and new rivets were put in while the same old screws were used on the rear
As for the amp placement, the nakamichi 60.4 is small enough to comfortably sit under the passenger seat and not get in the way of the rear passengers feet. It was mounted by attaching velcro straps on the underside meaning the amp wasn't just going to flop around under the seat
