So about the platform Yaris XP150 uses. Although I have been owing Ativ X CVT for over a year, I originally thought it used the Toyota B platform, the same one used on cars like Toyota Belta and Toyota Axio E160, but that isn't the case... The platform that Yaris uses is actually the Toyota EFC platform which seemed to be the modified version of the Toyota NBC platform, the same platform used on the first generation of Toyota Vitz, and Toyota Platz. I started to wonder why especially these two cars look strangely similar to Yaris XP150, but that seems to be the case. That sounds bummer, but at least you're getting a true Toyota or at least a spiritual successor of the Indus Corolla.
As for the fourth-generation Yaris AC100, despite being the successor of the Yaris XP150, that car has a dirty secret as this car uses a Daihatsu DNGA-B platform. That could have been great if it was relaunched as Daihatsu Charade and possibly become very successful, especially if it launches in Pakistan. Otherwise, it's not a "true" Toyota in my opinion.
