So took the car to the detailer today. As per them the coating is not doing it's job. They also applied reload to the bonnet but I didn't see any effect, slight improvement in hydrophobic effect, but nothing on the gloss and depth front. They suggest that I use the reload after every wash and maybe it'll bring the some of the hydrophobic effect back.
The car looks dull and is full of marks, my old city when waxed shines better. as the coating was not doing it's job so unable to wash away these hard marks. The detailer says that my washing technique is fine and it's only because of the hard water. I live in DHA 2 Islamabad, but don't know about the water quality here.
However, we've agreed to run a test, I'll be using a good wax on my Honda City and if the wax holds up for more than 2 months then their reason that the hard water is culprit holds no more. The detailer has agreed to coat the car again if the wax holds up more than 2 months. Please note that the car was coated by 2 layers of Finest Reserve, effective for 5 years if washed correctly and reloaded timely.
I was thinking to run this litmus test with Collinite, but please suggest an alternate good high quality wax for this test, that you might think is better.
